We have a variety of school horses from our well-trained arabs to our stout and talented quarter horses, even an adorable welsh pony. Each one has something to teach his rider, and each has special talents he brings to the arena. All of the In The Irons lesson horses have been working in this capacity for several years and have proven to be safe, fun and trustworthy mounts.
Louis L’Amour TP.TP is a 20-year-old registered paint gelding. TP’s special talent is carrying our littlest riders. He has taught most of our beginners to post. TP is the barn jokester, his tricks are famous! If you took a vote, we think TP would be the favorite horse of In The Irons.

Grey Royal.
Royal is a 24-year-old purebred Arabian gelding. Royal was trained and shown through second level dressage. He is one of our beginner horses whose major talent is teaching the students to canter. Royal truly believes he is Royal, when you meet him you will know why!

Sizzle On By.
Sizzle is a 15 year old purebred Quarter Horse. He stands 16.1 and carries our intermediate to advanced riders. Sizzle is currently showing Training and First level dressage.
Wink Of An Eye.Wink is a 15.2 hand, 15 year-old appendix Quarter Horse. Wink has been shown through First level. He has carried many of our students to blue ribbon wins in Training Level. With is sparkling blue eye and dazzling movement, Wink is a real show stopper.
** Update – Wink is currently recovering from a major injury to one of his rear legs. Unbelievably, he is expected to make a full recovery!!
Lucy.
Lucy is a 14 year old, 16 hand Quarter Horse. She is very sweet and has wonderful easy gates. Everyone loves to ride Lucy!
** Update - Lucy is going to have a baby in the spring!! We can't wait to meet our little "new arrival".
